We are the stewards of Cornell's business, facilities, finances, information technologies, and safety services. Our mission is to direct the critical business and administrative services that support academic programs and the functioning of the university at large. Stephen T. Golding, the Samuel W. Bodman Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration, holds responsibility for 1,800 employees throughout seven units.
Our teams collaborate with faculty, students, university administrators and staff, and outside consultants and vendors to assure the success of a broad array of endeavors.
Finance and Administration Units
Audit Office
The office helps protect the university's assets and reputation by reviewing operations and controls, providing relevant analyses, and recommending improvements.
Division of Facilities Services
This unit shapes the place for Cornell's vision by providing the planning, design, construction, operation, and ongoing maintenance for all university facilities.
Division of Financial Affairs
As stewards of the university's financial resources, Financial Affairs oversees policies and practices that safeguard and report on these resources.
Office of Information Technologies
The office provides strategic leadership for information technology throughout the university and advocates for appropriate resources to realize this vision.
Investment Office
The chief investment officer, supported by the Office of Investment Management, holds authority for the university's investable funds.
Cornell University Police
University police officials are commissioned to enforce federal, state, and local laws and empowered by the university to enforce the Campus Code of Conduct.
Risk Management and Public Safety
The diverse cluster of business and service departments provides strategic support functions in support of the university's mission.
